One of our Cedars' residents had never been there before!

Then we had a nice day for Our visit to the Apple Orchard in Cambridge.
We took a hayride and a sweet treat afterwards!

but the kids also!

What a GREAT evening! Madrid Home took a Men's group outing to Hickory Park for dinner and then to a program about a B-17 bomber that crashed near Maxwell, IA!

Friends of the Madrid Home Project Update

Every year we evaluate the condition of every campus. With hundreds of older adults served, our surroundings become worn and in need of updating. Residents, family, and/or staff suggest projects that are worthy of a Friends fundraiser. 100% of all money raised is applied to the identified project.

• We plan to redecorate the Madrid Home’s dining room facilities
• Renovating and remodeling 3rd floor of the Madrid Home
• Purchase new dining room chairs for the Cedars Assisted Living in Madrid
• Apartment renovations and remolding at Ballard Creek Assisted Living in Huxley

These ladies from Ballard Creek took a little trip to McFarland Park for the first time today to learn about certain animals. They enjoyed the trip & we even had time to stop for ice cream afterwards which put more smiles on their faces.

Ballard Creek residents took their Friday to a whole new level of fun! They got to experience such a neat way to cook. Many laughs with egg throwing, great conversations, & yummy food for lunch. For a few of the residents this was their first time here & they loved it!
