Memory Care - Madrid Home Communities

Memory Care

Individuals with memory loss deserve to be appreciated for who they are and what they can do rather than what they can’t We believe that it’s the caregiver’s responsibility to understand each resident’s point of view and adapt to their wishes, not the other way around.

Madrid Home Communities licensed CCDI units are specifically designed to meet the special needs of individuals coping with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of memory loss.

Is it time for a care facility?

Here are factors the Alzheimer's Association says families should consider in deciding whether it's time for a person with dementia to move to a care facility:

  • The person forgets or refuses to use necessary safety equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers or grab bars.
  • The person has accidents with stoves, appliances or other household items.
  • The person can't get to the bathroom when needed.
  • The person is unwilling or unable to bathe or change clothing.
  • The family caregiver has been unable to enlist help from relatives and friends.
